About Bead Binge

For the past several years, the SJBS has been pleased to present Bead Binge, a celebration of beads for bead enthusiasts of all skill levels. Last year's co-chairpersons, Eleanor Fink and Piper Antonelli, were dedicated to making the show bigger and better. But the real work was done by the members who volunteered many, many hours before and during the show to ensure it's success.

Bead Binge is an exciting combination of vendors, bead enthusiasts, and more.

Bead Binge Challenge (SJBS Members Only)

Each year the show boasts a jewelry design contest for current SJBS members. The contest theme for 2010 is "Fire & Ice". The contest is open to all skill levels Great Prizes awarded in four different categories. Your entry must include 50% beads and relate to the theme. It can be a wearable or non-wearable.

ENTRY DEADLINE IS THURSDAY MARCH 4, 2010 at the member meeting. Each entry must be have an entry form attached. Click here for detailed contest information / challenge rule sheet or an entry form!

The contest theme for 2009 was The Beaded Home - The House that Beads Built! It could be a decorative or functional item for the home. The entries were so creative! We're looking forward to more creative entries this year! You can also see past bead soup challenge entries.
