Amy says: When Queen Victoria’s beloved husband died, mourning jewelry became the vogue. The Queen loved jewelry as much as she did her prince so it was jet that became the color of stone choice. Having found some beautiful Victorian glass jet on one of my treasure hunts, I decided to design this piece featuring the jet (the tear) as the centerpiece. Create this limited edition necklace by combining a variety of stitches including even-count tubular peyote stitch, square stitch, bead embroidery and right angle weave to put together an elegant memory from an era past. Add pearls, rivolis and Crystaletts to give the piece the classic look. This is an advanced class using even-count tubular peyote stitch, square stitch, right angle weave. Kits will be available, cost will be $120. Supply list be emailed upon registration.
Don't have skills? No problem, we will be having a Basic Skills / Up to Stuff class on April 2, 2016 to prepare for Amy's classes
