SJBS Members Maureen Ressler & Johanna Zitto will teach

Needle Weaving With Beads.

Class Description:
Weaving is acknowledged as one of the oldest surviving crafts in the world.
Needle Weaving with beads, however, is a very recent breakthrough, credited
to the ingenuity and creativity of fiber artist and jewelry designer Helen Banes.
The result of several years of experimentation, Banes elevated the process of weaving to a new art form in very significant ways. In this class students will learn how to create a free-form loom, integrate beads into the woven fabric, and practice at least three weaving techniques transferrable to other projects.

Registrants will receive a Supply List and very reasonable price list of class materials for convenience.

There are three colorways
  • Turquoise/Red/Gold with copper-tone metal beads
  • Lavender/Lime/Cocoa with silver-toned metal beads (pictured above)
  • Cranberry/Peacock/Cream with silver-toned metal beads (pictured above)
