Design & Decorative Effects in Polymer Clay


Instructor:  Ellen Marshall, author of the book "Polymer Clay Surface Design Recipes," contributor to the book "Polymer Clay Art" and founder of the Philadelphia Area Polymer Clay Guild (PAPG). She has worked with polymer clay and taught her techniques for more than a decade.

Description: In this class you will explore applications of pastels and other powders on polymer clay using various tools and approaches.  

Learn how to: 

• Create decorative effects with pastels and powders

• Approach color choices

• Make design decisions in building the pendant 

• Make and incorporate wire elements into the pendant 

• Create and use dimension to enhance the pendant design

• Apply basic and some advanced polymer clay techniques.

Please note: The beaded peyote bail on this pendant is optional and will not be done in this workshop.

Kits/Supplies: Kits are not available for this class.

A Supply List will be emailed upon registration confirmation.

This workshop is suitable for participants new to polymer clay and those with some experience.  Basic polymer properties and techniques will be reviewed throughout the class.

Price: SJBS members: $55; others $75
