Kimberly Stathis Spirit Orb Necklace
SJBS is delighted to welcome back Kimberly Stathis, a nationally recognized creative beadwork designer and instructor who travels extensively teaching her designs. Her creative expression is inspired by the many colors, textures and shapes of the beads themselves. Teaching for thirteen years, Kim's designs have been featured at the Bead & Button show, and published in Bead & Button magazine and Showcase 500 Jewelry Book.
Spirit orbs are balls of energy and light that are sometimes thought to represent the energy fields of a spiritual being. Kim's necklace Spirit Orb has a reflective light emitting orb-shaped pendant, which is hollow with a center support of connected bezeled Chaton crystals. The beadwork of the Orb is richly textured and very structural in nature. Pearls and bicone crystals add a touch of elegance to the overall design
Students will use Peyote and modified Chenille Stitch to create a striking and unique pendant and rope, completed with a loop and beaded button closure. This project is for advanced beader with are comfortable with peyote stitch, chenille stitch and small beads

* To qualify for the SJBS Member rate, registrants must first renew or join SJBS by Sept. 2020. There are no refunds for SJBS member rates after registering for classes as a non-member.
