Shrinkets Peony Pendant
Join long time SJBS member and former Board member for media/advertising, Lissa Atkins, as she shares her latest jewelry making obsession: Shrinkets!
There are so many ways to use Shrinkets, thanks to Julie Isaacs Haymaker’s innovations — her proprietary “jewelry grade” shrink plastic and molds. Artists like Gail Crosman Moore have built upon Julie’s work and pushed the boundaries of what can be done with shrink plastic. It’s fun and not the craft you may remember with your kids.
Come and learn the basics of Shrinkets, including the different styles of Shrinkets, how to make shapes, add colorants, proper way to shrink, use silicones molds, resolve mistakes, equipment needed, and other tips/ tricks.
Note: the final step will be done at home to allow sufficient time for the glue to fully set.
Supplies: Kits are required. Kit price is $32 payable at the class. An additional supply list will be emailed to registered students along with a "how-to" handout and a detailed "tips and tricks" handout.
Class is suitable for beginners.
