Pondo, also known as African Circle Stitch, is a modern modification of an ancient technique used by the Mpondo people of Africa.
It is a sturdy stitch even though it is somewhat lacy and light.
Susan is a SJBS member and NY/NJ native who moved to Fort Myers FL in 2021. She had been making jewelry since 2004, bead weaving since 2011 and Bead Embroidery since 2017.
Supplies:
Size 8 or size 11 seed beads in two (2) contrasting colors
Size 10 or 12 beading needle and thread of choice
