Supply Lists:

Wire Crochet: Marilyn Fishman

  • Wire cutters and needle-nose pliers
  • · One spool of 28 gauge wire, any color to go with your beads
  • · 1 tube of 6/0 seed beads
  • · Metal crochet hook, size G.

Finger Knotting: Doriann Neuhart

Conso- approximately 2-3 yards
50 multi size and shaped beads (must be able to string them onto conso)
It would also help if the beads were pre-strung before the demonstration.

A small crochet hook would be helpful size 5 or 6

In the middle of the larger beads string about 15 size 11 seed beads. In other words string about 25 larger beads, string the size 11 beads, and string the remainder of the beads.
Kumihimo: Johanna Zitto
1 Kumihimo Braiding Disk (round hand-held type)
8 Plastic Bobbins (to wrap each warp cord and reduce tangling)
1 Mini Clamp (holds end knot and provides weight to pull Kumi braid)
6 yards C-Lon or S-Lon cord (or #18 Nylon Cord equivalent) cut into 8 sections (each 27 inches)
Size 6 seed beads in 4 different colors (approximately 40 beads per color)
Clear nail polish

Micromacrame: Margo Kellner
Knotting Board – Macramé Board, Cork Bulletin Board or Cork Board.
Sewing Pins – Standard sewing pins with ball heads are easiest on the fingers.
Sharp Scissors
Embroidery or Yarn Needles – Tapestry Point (blunt, not sharp) needles are useful for undoing knots without damaging the cord.
Macramé cord in at least two colors. Waxed cotton, hemp and bamboo cord is sold on cards of multiple colors and one card should have enough cord to make the knot samples.
NOTE: DO NOT bring Nylon Cord. It can be difficult for beginners, as it is a finer cord and likes to try to curl back into the shape of the spool it was wound on.

Optional – beads with holes large enough to fit on the cord.
Optional – Small rubber bands to hold excess working cord.
I will have some extra cord and cork boards for last minute students, but not much. So please come prepared
I will supply a key tag ring for the samples.
